Pondero ("we," "us," or "our") operates pondero.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data (Aggregate, Anonymized)

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics platform that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Plausible collects aggregate, anonymized data including:

• Page views and navigation paths
• Referral sources (e.g., Google, social media)
• Country-level location (not city or IP address)
• Device type and browser type
• Time spent on pages

No personal data is stored, no cookies are set, and no cross-site tracking occurs. Plausible is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design.

Affiliate Link Clicks

When you click an affiliate link that routes through our /go/ redirect path, we log the affiliate program slug and timestamp for internal revenue tracking. We do not store your IP address or any personally identifiable information in connection with affiliate clicks.

Contact Form and Email

If you contact us at hello@pondero.ai, we retain your name and email address for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

Newsletter Subscribers

When you subscribe to the Pondero newsletter, we collect your email address, IP address, and the timestamp of signup. This information is processed by Beehiiv (our email delivery platform) to send you the weekly digest and any requested downloads. We do not use this data for any purpose other than delivering the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the 1-click unsubscribe link in any email we send — no account required.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Understand which content is most useful to our readers (aggregate analytics only)
• Track affiliate program performance to sustain our independent editorial operation
• Respond to reader inquiries and feedback
• Send newsletters to subscribers who have opted in

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Some affiliate programs may set cookies when you click through to their sites. Those cookies are governed by the affiliate program's own privacy policy, not ours.

Third-Party Services (Sub-processors)

Pondero.ai is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP addresses) for security and DDoS protection purposes, per their privacy policy. We do not have access to Cloudflare's raw server logs.

We use Beehiiv to deliver our newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address, IP address, and signup timestamp are transmitted to and stored by Beehiiv. Beehiiv acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can review Beehiiv's privacy practices at beehiiv.com/privacy.

We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, anonymized site analytics (see "Analytics Data" above). Plausible does not process personal data.

Data Retention

Contact email correspondence is retained until no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. Aggregate analytics data (via Plausible) is retained indefinitely in anonymized, aggregate form.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by emailing us at hello@pondero.ai.

For GDPR or CCPA requests, please include "Privacy Request" in your email subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Pondero is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
