Anthropic launches Claude Marketplace with 2,000 connectors and a committed-spend purchasing channel

Enterprise teams holding an existing Anthropic contract gained a new procurement option on September 23, 2026: the Claude Marketplace, a directory of more than 2,000 integrations that also lets qualifying customers apply their committed Anthropic spend toward purchases of third-party Claude-powered products.

What

The marketplace groups its offerings into three sections. "Add" lists connectors and plugins built on the Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills API, with integrations from Google, Microsoft, Notion, Salesforce, and Atlassian among more than 2,000 available at launch, per the Anthropic announcement. "Buy" lists Claude-powered software from partners including CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Lovable, and Snowflake; for customers holding an Anthropic committed spend agreement, purchases of these products can run through that existing budget line rather than a separate procurement process. "Scale" lists consulting and systems integration services from the Claude Partner Network, including Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, and Deloitte, per RuntimeWire's coverage.

Anthropic described the marketplace as "a place to find tools, agents and expert partners." Atlassian's head of product noted that the company's connector brings "full context of Confluence, Jira, and other apps into Claude" through the Teamwork Graph integration, per the announcement.

The launch is the first time Anthropic has operated a marketplace of this kind. OpenAI's plugin ecosystem and Google's Workspace Marketplace have offered integration directories for longer; Anthropic's addition of a committed-spend purchasing layer is the structural difference that sets this apart from a standard plugin store.

Partner tools can now come out of your Anthropic contract

The committed-spend routing is the most operationally concrete feature for enterprise buyers. Procurement teams already on an Anthropic contract can now acquire partner tools without launching a separate vendor evaluation cycle. For software vendors already integrated with Claude, the marketplace gives them direct distribution access to Anthropic's enterprise customer base without building their own discovery channel.

Strategically, this shifts Anthropic's competitive positioning from model provider to platform. Integration breadth and procurement simplicity now factor alongside model quality when enterprise teams decide which AI vendor to consolidate around in a given budget cycle. For teams currently evaluating that question, the marketplace structure is worth mapping to your own procurement constraints.

One practical caveat: Anthropic has not published the specific contract tiers or spend thresholds that qualify for committed-spend purchasing on partner products. Teams planning to route budget through the "buy" section should confirm eligibility with their Anthropic account team before treating it as a given in any procurement plan.

What to watch next

Neither OpenAI nor Google had announced a comparable committed-spend purchasing mechanism as of September 25, 2026. Whether they respond by adding similar features to their own integration ecosystems is the primary competitive signal to track over the next two quarters. Adoption data from the "buy" section, which Anthropic said it will surface to marketplace partners, will indicate whether the procurement simplification drives incremental software purchases or functions mainly as a positioning feature.
